Picasso's Guernica is currently on display in Room 6 on the second floor of the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
Commissioned for the Spanish Pavilion at the 1937 World Fair in Paris, this huge black & white painting measuring 3.493 x 7.766 meters (11.46 x 25.5 feet) depicts the bombing of the Basque town of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
